​Ying is a NAATI certified English-Chinese and Chinese-English translator, and English - Mandarin interpreter.

Graduated from the University of Melbourne, Ying has a proud 12 years experience in the translating and interpreting industry in Australia. She is now in her 13th year in the T&I industry. 

​

Her specialised areas include legal, medical, finance, business and technology. She also translates literature and pop-culture materials such as poems, song lyrics and movie subtitles.

​

Currently, Ying translates between 500,000 to 1 million English words per year. 

​

Ying believes that a good translator/interpreter is not merely transferring meanings between two languages, but also playing the role of a cultural ambassador in bridging the differences between two unique cultures.

 

Her aim is to help the Chinese community in Australia understand the Australian way of life, and also help Australian businesses better understand the Chinese culture and the Chinese way of thinking.
